Welcome to Discipleship Bible Baptist Church! We are blessed to have Pastor Adam King as our faithful shepherd, leading our congregation with a heart devoted to God’s Word and His people.

Pastor King has been serving our church since August '24 and has a deep passion for preaching and teaching the truth of Scripture. He is committed to expository preaching and ensuring that every sermon is grounded in the Word of God. His goal is to encourage believers, equip the saints for ministry, and share the Gospel with the lost.

Pastor King has a strong foundation in biblical doctrine and pastoral care. His ministry is built on the principles of prayer, discipleship, and outreach, believing that a healthy church is one that actively seeks to glorify Christ in all things.

Beyond the pulpit, Pastor King works in the construction industry, he enjoys reading, family time, outdoor activities and evangelism. He and his family are grateful to be part of the church family and look forward to continuing to serve the community in love and truth.

The Great Commission

Few passages of Scripture are more important to the life and mission of the local church than what is commonly called "The Great Commission." These are among the final recorded words of our Lord Jesus Christ before His ascension into heaven. They reveal not only the responsibility of every believer but also the purpose for which Christ established His churches.

The Great Commission is found most clearly in Matthew 28:18–20: "And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen." This command remains the marching orders of Christ's churches until He returns.

The Authority Behind the Commission

Before giving His command, Jesus declared, "All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth" (Matthew 28:18). The word translated "power" refers to authority. Christ possesses absolute authority because He is the risen Lord.......
